Will 78' suspension bolt to 71" frame?

have a chance to get a 78' Chevy truck and want to know if the 1/2 ton cross memeber and suspension will bolt up to the frame on my 71' gmc 3/4 ton. i want to keep disk brakes but would like to have 6 bolt wheels instead of the 8's on my 71'.

thanks

I was real good in math in my day, and know for sure that a 78 foot suspension will NOT work with 71 inches of frame!!

lol........welcome to the board from Virginia! BTW, a 79 feet doesn't work either. hehe (j/k)....78, 79.....they're the same. You'd be surprized at how many years/parts are interchangable.

So the 78' front end will work and then you just add 6 lug rotors to it?

it is not hard swap, you will see the two holes you will needto egg out, its easy

control arm bushings on 1/2 tons changed to rubberin 73, 72 and older 1/2tons were still solid ones, 3/4 ton all years still steel, also 1 tons too

you will need the 79 balljoints and can uset he 79 hoses too, re route your steellines, 73-up hoses are longer and cheaper
