best cooling setup

Live in Sacramento, sometimes gets kinda hot ... Working on my 63 fleet, 350/350/3:08 eaton possi, old radiator finally gave out. Found one from American Radiator, looks nice, came with a 16" electric fan free, also free shipping.

Now for the questions ... what's best:

run the old clutch fan, no aditional fan?

just the electric? I know some run just the electric, if so how do you hook uo the sender?

both?

correct thermostat temp?

Would appreciate any help with this, wanna hook this up right ... Thanks!

Re: best cooling setup

I run the 16" electric fan as a puller,I have a adjustable thermostat that goes into the fins of RAD.I have it set so it turns on at 190 off at 165. I love it and never overheat in the summer in Iowa. I'm going to make a shroud this winter it should help even more.
