Overload?
I'm putzing around with the chassis on my panel and was thinking about overload springs. I have a set of those overload springs for spring style rear suspension, but with a 6 inch drop in the rear the over loads would be in play all the time.
I was thinking after the body was back on the chassis, so I know how low its going to sit, I could have the over loads de-arched so they came in to play only when I was towing something or had a load in the back. Is this a viable thing to do? I suppose I could put helper bags in the back, but that would be quite a bit more expensive. Thoughts? Mark

The bags would ride much better. My dad had a 68 w/ rear coils. it had the factory helper leafs, that only came into play w/ a load. KIlled the ride quality. Everyone has a different purpose for their vehicle, though...

Not really worried about the ride quality, just want to know if they will still do what they are supposed to do if they are de-arched some. Appreciate your input though.
