72 Suburban Rear Air Wiring Diagram

Guys,

I posted a question in the electrical section looking for a wiring diagram for the rear air. For some reason I don't have power to my rear air fan switch. If you can help I would appreciate it.

The answer is kinda in the question..... trace the power wire back to electricity! If you hotwire to the switch, does it then work? There may be a fuse or circuit breaker ahead of that switch and it is most likely inline, so you'll just have to physically trace it back to electricity or bypass it!

Thanks Don. I have been working on that. The wiring goes into a loom that is all taped up. There are 2 orange wires that should be hot. I was hoping to find a wiring diagram to help with the tracing. I would rather rebuild a motor than chase wiring problems. Wiring was never my strong suit.

Orange is a common power color, so it may be powered by a fuse in the fuseblock. I'm on my way out (to work) momentarily, so I'll have to check my electrical notes later

Problem solved. I had a large relay that was not grounded to the firewall. All I had to do was screw it to the firewall and all is well.

It just goes to show you how important it is to be well grounded.

I'm glad that's over!
