WII??? (what is it) lol

I believe these are threshold pieces for suburbans, jimmy's, and blazers. The carpet termination strip for the rear where the hatch meets the carpet area.

The wider strips measure 59 7/8" x 1 7/8"

The thinner bed looking strip measure 63 13/16" x 1 3/8"

Do you still have these and or would you sell one? Also, I was reding your console thread I wanted to know, where do you buy the screws to put the consoles back together. They look awesome.

Just got them at the local hardware... I liked the recessed look of the beauty rings. I tend to pay close attention to detail. I think it cleaned them up nicely instead of just a washer and screw.. And yes I will sell these pieces. Nobody has told me what the heck they are though... Soooo. What are they and is there any aftermarket that makes them so I can get a price gauge.

Thanks,
Duane

Re: WII??? (what is it) lol

Hmm, well, my blazer came with one of the thinner strips towards the tailgate. I have had lots of 72 trucks but this is my first blazer and I am learning a whole lot from this one as I am doing a frame off. I assumed that you might be a blazer guy too but maybe just trucks?? Anyways, from what I can tell the thinner bed strip is for the blazers and the channel on one side is for the rubber seal that meets the tailgate when it is closed. The blazers also have a gasket that comes up the bedsides and one accross the length of the tailgate where it meets the hatch for a complete seal around the tailgate. I don't know what they are worth as I have not seen one that anyone has actually bought yet. Teeitup had one he tooks pics of for me but it was rusted and it had extra holes (about as good as mine) so I passed. I check the blazer forum often and cannot recall seeing many that anyone was interested in buying. As for the larger ones I have no idea what they are. I have seen the front carpet strips for these blazers and that is not it. The front strip does not have the channel for the gasket but should be about the same length. I would be interested in the clean thinner strip thats just a hair under 64 inches. I would probably have to rechrome it but it looks like it will clean up. Disclaimer: I could be way off. Just an educated guess....

Oh, no aftermarket as far as I know. I have seen lots of guys buy polished bed strips and trim them to size. They look very close but do not have the channel for the gasket. Thought about doing the same thing myself.

Hah Hah..good note on the disclaimer...lol I will clean my best one and shoot some more pics for you. two of them are pretty nice.. The larger ones have something to do with a suburban I believe. I will get the pics up shortly.

Re: WII??? (what is it) lol

There is a lot of knowledgable people on this forum and i thought to add that so as to cover my shame should someone decide to chime in and correct me. Either way it is appreciated. I have learned a lot from them. I may be interested in both by the way. One last thing, I went to the hardware shop and found #8 finish washers but could not figure out what screw you used to fit. Which ones did you use on your consoles?? thanks

I have no idea to be honest. I just matched it up improv style while in the hardware store. I just made sure there was just enough thread for the inside nut to catch and snug up.. So I literally just took the finish washers and matched them up with the best fitting countersunk screw for a nice flush finish..

Well, I have already hit refresh about a hundred times and I gotta go. Are they going on the pickup parts board or the blazer and suburban stuff. Don't forget to give me a shot at the nicer one at least. I am about to be away from my computer for a while and I am sure somone will jump in line.
