using 81/82 bumper in newer model for fog lights

i thought of looking for an 81/82 bumper , taking out the blinker lights and putting for lights in their place for my 86 c 10 , anyone have any experince with this or have pictures ?

I'm no expert with the 81-87 but they should all have the same bumper minus the lights for the older versions. It should fit fine. LMC has a "fog-light bumper" that would resemble what you plan to do. I'd wire it just like the LMC one and use them for fog lights or something. Good idea!

I did this years ago. I thought it looked pretty good at the time. I worked really good with the dual fog/driving lights. I have since pulled it off and put the solid bumper back on. You have to trim the outer bumper brackets a lot, to make room for the lights. Then you have to make a mounting bracket to hold the lights in. I don't have this stuff anymore, but was thinking about the LMC bumper for my 85.
