Carpet or Rubber mats?

Getting ready to put some new flooring in my 72' Jimmy and can't decide between a replacement rubber mat or carpet kit... Currently looking at LMC. Any recommendations on preference or other companies to check out are much appreciated.

I've heard that the rubber mats can actually trap moisture and lead to rust but i would like to have something that's easier to clean out dog hair, occasional mud etc. Thanks!

My cab is going to have bedliner sprayed in the floor and up the firewall and have a mat on top of that ,mine is poly vinyl or something like that.Its a very thick mat that hopefully will lay down good when the time comes to put it in .

I like my rubber mat a lot. I bought it from LMC and it fits very well. Easy to take out and clean. I've had three different mats in my truck over 39 years and I've never noticed a rust problem.

That being said, now that my truck is "retired" from hard work I'm thinking of puting carpet down. I want to fancy up the cab a bit. The carpet, plus some sound deadening stuff underneath, should quiet down the noise in the cab, too.

I prefer carpet. I used good mats to protect where my feet go. Vacuuming is easier than scrubbing,rinsing,and wiping down a rubber mat,if you ask me. It's hard to keep the rubber mats looking fresh where carpet hides dirt until it gets pretty dirty. I do construction work,so when it's not muddy it's dusty it seems.

Got the rubber mat from brothers, had it for 2 years now, still looks as good as the day i put it in, fits like a glove

Since I live in the country and travel gravel roads often I am going with a rubber mat in my '67 with a sound deadening material under it.
