Help with brakes 62 c10!!

Hey guys Im in need of some help. I have a 62 c10 with brake issues. I have replaced the MC and booster along with the rear brake hose. I have bled the system and I get pressure at the pedal with the engine off but with the engine running I have no pedal. We tried to bleed the system with the engine running and the rear wheel cylinder has very little fluid coming out. It almost seems as if the MC isnt being depressed enough. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks
Brandon

Did you bench bleed the master cylinder? It very well could be your source of trouble.

Did you replace these items because of a problem you were having before?Double check to make sure they gave you a 4 wheel drum master,if that's what you're running.Sounds like just lots of air in the lines tho...

Re: Help with brakes 62 c10!!

If you have a proportioning valve, and if the rear lines were at one point empty, the valve may have moved and mostly blocked the rear line. This is what it would do if there was a failure in the rear circuit. Check to see if you have good fluid flow at the rear brake port on the master. If so you might try re-setting the prop valve.

62 mark, the only problem I had previously was the booster was bad. We replaced it and the MC as an assembly. I wanted to upgrade the MC since I was replacing the booster I didnt think I would run into an issue with doing so. I will change MC with old one to see if that makes the diff. Thanks.
