HEI SPARK PLUGS for 6

Hey Guys,

I just got HEI ignition for my inline 6 and I'm wondering what kind of spark plugs to use and any suggestions for the correct gap. THANKS

No specially different plugs are required for HEI. I prefer AC now. Just increase the gap from .035 for points-type to .045 for HEI.
I used to like Champion, but about 7 years ago they went to Mexico and their quality control took a dive.

Re: HEI SPARK PLUGS for 6

Thanks for the info...I hope it runs better with the new HEI and plugs. Do you prefer any certain type of plug wires?

Re: HEI SPARK PLUGS for 6

I like the Accel Universal 7mm 4041(?) cut-to-fit wires. If you buy a V8 set, every 4th set of plug wires is free. Some of the lines are so long you can get two short runs out of them. I use the hammer-on Terminal Crimping Jaws Accel 170042.
Have fun.
