Factory Air Pressure Gauge Questions
I've seen a couple factory air pressure gauges on ebay recently and both had the same part numbers printed on the edge of the gauge face. One was listed to fit 60-63 and the other said it would fit 60-66. My question is, did the same guage fit 60-66 or were there different styles to fit 60-63/64-66.
Also, has anyone used one for thier air ride tank pressure guage? I'm thinking about having one reworked to register 0-200 psi for my air ride system. Thanks in advance.

Re: Factory Air Pressure Gauge Questions
I would think they would have been in a 50 series and up with air brakes. The 0-150 range would be consistant with a truck with air brakes.
Are you running your system over 150psi?

Re: Factory Air Pressure Gauge Questions
Well, I don't have an air management system yet and this is my first time with bags. Not sure how many PSI most guys' compressors cut off at but for some reason 200 psi is what I remembered. Maybe 150 will be adequate?

Re: Factory Air Pressure Gauge Questions
Im running bags in the rear of mine now and my system cuts out at 160. I only run about 50 in the bags. If you have an adjustable pressure switch you can change it a little. Mine was rated to 175 but I turned it down to match my 160psi guage.

Re: Factory Air Pressure Gauge Questions
Thanks for that info! I just did a quick search in the suspension forum and it looks like 150 is adequate for guys like me that won't be adjusing the height alot or need quick lift times.
Now to find out if all the gauges are the same 60-66, or if there are two different styles.

Re: Factory Air Pressure Gauge Questions
No problem. The guages are cool, id like to see you use them in your truck.

Re: Factory Air Pressure Gauge Questions
That's the plan, an Air gauge, and have a tach reworked to 7000 or 8000 rpm with the original fonts. Maybe have the speedometer reworked to 150 mph also.

Re: Factory Air Pressure Gauge Questions
Yeah...they came in the large trucks with air brakes. They fit into the same opening as the factory tach, and the tachs can be used from 60-66, so the air pressure guage should work 60-66 also, although I only know of them coming in the 60-63 models. Would have to ask the 64-66 guys with big trucks about that. I sold one to a board member about 6 months ago that planned on using it for air brakes. He did some research on it and it sounded like a good idea going with a factory guage. Haven't seen the results yet. Also....they are the same size as the factory vacuum guage as well. My factory guage cluster I pulled from a c-50 had the air pressure guage and i removed it to install the factory vacuum gusge in its place. Only 2 small screws that hold them in place.

Re: Factory Air Pressure Gauge Questions
Thanks alot 1963c-10!! That will help me find one since they're all the same, instead of trying to find one from a 64-66 only.
