Quartz Clock for your dash

I have these clocks posted on the 73-87 classified but thought I would list them on here as well. I have picked up several more and they look as nice as these in the pic. This could be used to fill that vacant hole in your dash.
Each one was bench tested for several hours and worked great. Each one has had the face removed and then polished. The adjustment stem sanded and painted black and the hands painted as close to the original color as I could get. Some of them do have different second hands. Let me know if you have a preference. These are extremely sharp and will look great in your dash. Each one comes with a plug plenty of wire to attach to. These are easy to hook up. The black wire is the ground and the orange wire goes to the fuse box. $45.00 shipped to you. Money order or paypal. I Know I have a couple rubber grommets and I will include one with your clock until I am out. These really are sharp looking. Thanks
I have five left as of now.

Re: Quartz Clock for your dash

I think in 81 is the year GM switched over to the quartz movement. So I would say 81-87. Thanks

Re: Quartz Clock for your dash

If I am not wrong the quartz are from 78 or 79 - 87 truck. These were also in Suburbans but the dial stem was @ 6 oclock on the Burbs.

Re: Quartz Clock for your dash

You might be right, but I thought they started the quartz in 1980. They are a direct fit for the trucks starting in 1973 until the quartz was introduced.

Re: Quartz Clock for your dash

All the quartz clocks had the adjustment hand at the 8 o clock position, truck, blazer or suburban it doesn't matter. The older non quartz clocks had the adjustment knob at 12.

Re: Quartz Clock for your dash

I knew that I have seen some clocks at either 6 or 12 o'clock I could not remember which one it was but they were listed as coming out of a Suburban. I will try and find a pic of one. Here are a couple of pics 3 o-clock is a van and the 12 o-clock says suburban, blazer and truck.

If you could find a pic that would be great. I have never seen one at 6 o'clock. I am always wanting to learn something new. Never have to much information.

Re: Quartz Clock for your dash

If the knob comes out at 12, it will have the older style numbers and wont say quarts on it like 67cheby's pic in post 4. IMO the older style matches the 67-72 dash better. I always swap the faces, since how you mount the clock doesn't matter. But they are not a direct fit, you have to epoxy them on, but then you can have an older looking click that actually works.

There used to be a company called Clockworks that did quartz conversions but I don't know if they are still around. Back in about '93 pr so I sent my factory 71 Nova clock to them and had it done. It still keeps perfect time to this day!

PT
Clock in first pic is out of a mid 80's chevy van. The second one is the non quartz, 73-77 or so.

Re: Quartz Clock for your dash

I am not sure if that company is still in business or not. I bought a quartz movement for my 69 camaro off ebay and installed it myself. Very easy to do. The only difference is the quartz has a sweeping second hand where the non quartz second hand would click for every second.
