I bought a 50 Chevy truck in pieces and cant figure out
What these support rods go to?
Any help would be great

Look like fender braces.

Ya might want to pick up an assembly manual. See http://www.fillingstation.com for one.

ya that's what i thought but these are like 3 foot long what would they bolt to?

They might go from the firewall to the rad support.

No but thanks for the input G&R's57GMC the rad support braces are different i can usually figure stuff out and where it goes.
But for some reason i cant figure out where these go or if they even go

Look closely at the rear fender behind the wheel see the brace . Looks like it goes to the bed side from the fender.

You are close. They actually go from about the same attach points on the firewall to a bracket that attaches to the 2nd and 3rd bolts from the front on the seam where the inner and outer fenders join together if I remember correctly. It's been over 10 years since I removed mine.

Oops I looked at your pick a little closer and those are not the rods I was thinking of. I think that G&R's is right about them being fender braces.

I'm pretty sure that those two go from the radiator support to the pan behind the grill and angle down and in from the sides. They are another piece that is often left out in a build and that allows for more squeaks and ill fitting parts.

Mr48chevy, is correct. Here is a pic showing the location, front pan is not on at this point, but it shows how they go......Jim

Well I was just guessing, being a TF guy what do I know about AD trucks

Ya learn something new everyday.

But an assembly manual would be handy.
