Cool 69 GMC
New to this site, I hope I do this thing right. I would like to share with you, my new toy. A few months ago, I got a 69 GMC fleet with working tachometer, factory power steering, AC and original leather bench seat that matches the print on the door panels. It used to be a manual transmission but it now has an automatic transmission. The engine is a GM 350 that came out of a 83 Z-28(I found that by process of elimination attempting to find the correct Starter). I am having some minor electrical/radio issues that need prompt attention before anything else goes wrong.
Thus far, I have done very little to it. Repaired the bench seat(A good friend of mine did the work), added an old school looking radio deck that is fairly up to date on the technology world. Tinted the windows, had the truck profesionally detailed. I will post pictures from when I first saw the truck to present. I hope you all like it. Re: Cool 69 GMC
Thank you litew8,
I keep on popping the blinker fuse. I have not traced the wires to the blinkers all the way yet, but I am also getting background noise out of the speakers. the stereo system was installed after I was already having problems with the blinker fuse/relay. Any ideas? Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: Cool 69 GMC
Maybe it is arching/not grounded. Check and make sure your cab is grounded (grounding straps to frame, etc...) and that they are relatively rust free.
There may be other points of grounding (under dash) that I'm unaware of. Turn signal wiring, etc... are things I didn't have to mess with on mine. Check the wiring to the lights, etc... for good wires/problems.

If the pics reside on your computer,
- Along the top left, GALLERY, then to the far right - UPLOAD PHOTOS. Grab the URL after uploaded and put in here with IMG button (copy/paste the picture's URL). -- I think, I don't use the site itself to store pictures.
