Latest K20 coming along

Here are a few pics of my status so far. This is my latest 71 K20 that I am doing a body-off on. Chassis is basically done and I am getting ready to do the body swap. I hope to get it done by spring. My other K20s need some company...ha ha

Thumbs up

Now THAT is CPNE approved! What are those upside down questionmark shaped things on your front frame rails?

Man, do I ever wish that I'd had the time and money to clean up my chassis while the body was off. . . .

Yes, I finally got a set of tow hooks! Now my other trucks feel naked......

I did actually buy those old street signs, but who knows were the sellers got them...I didn't ask.

I had this frame dipped and then I sprayed it with POR15 and their topcoat. One tip - never get POR 15 on contact lenses....long story

I still need a stove pipe for my manifold on this truck if anyone has one.

Those were "optional" tires..ha ha Basically anything I had that would hold air to roll it around. You should see the big knot in one of them. Competition use only.

It will be getting 35" BFG and aluminum turbine wheels when done.

Hopefully I'm not boring anyone with my pics. I know I love to see others projects. Here is my weekend progress. This is the body going on my latest K20 project. It was an original 30K miles truck with zero rust. I bought this out of the late original owner's garage. I will not be using this frame or front suspension/brakes if anyone is interested.

What are you doing about the throttle linkage? Are you converting to the rod style to accomodate your cab's design, or are you modifying the cab firewall for the cable style?

I'll most likely leave it with the rod design. I have parts to convert it though if I decide to. I guess I haven't thought that far ahead...lol
