Securing battery

So I was looking through the 2012 NHRA rule book regarding batteries and it if I read it correctly it says that you can use an OEM tray/mount. If you move it, then all kinds of other rules apply about bolt size, box type, etc.

My truck is a daily driver so I'm not really keen on moving the battery to the bed, but the factory hold down rubber "clamp" doesn't seem like it would pass tech. Anybody have anything under the hood other than stock mount?

The truck hasn't been down the strip yet, but on paper would be in the high 12's. I could fab something up with bolts and metal hold down, but just wanted to see if anybody had some other ideas.

If it's the 'stock / factory' hold down,, it will pass. Once you cross the 11.99 threshold they start getting more particular on what is 'stock and what is not.

I just did my taxes and reviewed my SS statement. Thanks to the current administration it looks like I will only have to work till noon on the day of my funeral.

That's good. The only way I'm getting that low is if I spray it and I don't plan on doing that. Thanks.
