Any wheel shops in Texas that will change backspacing on 2 piece billet wheels?
I am trying to find someone to change the backspacing on my Intros. The factory will rehoop them but will not just change the backspacing. Anyone know of someone in Texas that does this? I am in Houston but go to DFW, Austin and San Antonio frequently. Haven't had any luck finding someone. Intro wants 280 dollars per wheel to rehoop them.

Im surprised they won't change the backspace for you. I don't know about a somewhat local shop in Texas that will do it, but I know Stockton Wheel will do it as well as I have heard that Bonspeed will do it too, even though its not their wheel. I would check around with some of the other billet wheel companies and see if they will too, just to get the best price and service possible.

Re: Any wheel shops in Texas that will change backspacing on 2 piece billet wheels?
I think that the reason some wheel companies do not want to change the back spacing (in other words just moving the existing center piece inside the existing hoop to a different location) is either because of difficulty in polishing out the weld the my have to cut or for "safety" reasons. Plus it's lot easier for them to just throw the wheel in a lathe, cut the weld and then weld a new hoop back on. This is just me thinking out loud though.

I could be wrong, but I don't think your going to find anyone that will move the centers without new hoops. Why don't you sell what you have and get new ones built?

New wheels are 800 dollars a piece for the 20x8.5 I want. It costs 280 to rehoop them. Any chance I could sell just two wheels without loosing my shirt in relation to that?
