my 85 k20 has 4.11 gears with 37s and a 400 trans i can smoke the 37s and at 60 i am at 2250 rpm 350 roller engine

have a question though I have a 83 k10 with the 4 speed well really 3 speed with granny gear but the granny gear does not want to stay in gear hard to get in gear and will pop out any suggestions

sounds like you have the dreaded 3rd gear pop out. that's worn out syncros sir. time for a rebuild or replace.
