Suggestions on lifting

a 63 4x4 Suburban. I'd like to lift it between 2 & 4". I've seen several pics on here of lifted trucks and Burbs. I haven't found any build threads on the subject though.

Ya know, I don't know. Probably because I don't understand what the difference is. Ca n ya say Noob?

My goal, have the body sit higher than stock 4x4 with maybe 35" tires.

Re: Suggestions on lifting

Buy a 4" tough country lift basically. Best bang for your Buck. Offroad design can help tremendously. Check them out.

body lift, lifts the body of the truck off the frame. usually leading to large gaps between the bumpers and grill/tailgate. suspension lifts the frame off the axles which then all you need for a 4in lift is a steering arm correction and longer shocks. i would go with a suspension lift personally

Re: Suggestions on lifting

Suspension is what I want, I just bought axles and suspension from an 87 Burb. Gives me disk brakes for sure and can lift easily if I decide to.

Thanks!
