Re: frame swap help?
Sounds like a great deal, Price that stuff seperatly and you will see how good a deal. As for swapping, I would swap from the sort frame to the long frame, I have done the both and its easier in my opinion to swap axles and running gear than to do the body.

Re: frame swap help?
I am about to do the same thing. Do 4wd and 2wd use the same frame aside from the crossmember?

Re: frame swap help?
yes, i would suggest chainging the engine crossmember. and everything else goes on fine.
the 2wd rear spring hangers are a couple inches lower than a 4x4 so it can be ass low if you didnt mess with that. |

Re: frame swap help?
the hard way is usually the right way. they share the same rails, just swap brackets. a body swap you gotta spend more just in fluids than youd spend in bolts for the new brackets. AND, body swaps usually turn into full on balls to the wall ten year restorations.

Re: frame swap help?
yes, the front of the frame is the same between all trucks. just park em side by side and see whats different. its alot of rivets, suggest a torch or a sharp air chisel.
