What kind of lift kit would you guys recommend for my 72 k20? I'm thinking like a 3 or 4 inch suspension lift. What brand would you guys recommend?

I got my 2" Tuff Country lift kit a couple months ago for my K10 and I am really happy with it. I got the springs for the back rather then blocks but either way they make the blocks/springs 1" higher so the back doesn't sag.

I went with a Superlift 6" lift with the dropped pitman arm.. Springs front and rear, no blocks. Love it and haven't had any issues..

x2. I installed 2 1/2" Softrides (front) several years back and still like 'em. Poly bushings, no squeaks, excellent quality. The only thing I changed was longer front shocks. If interested, the correct length turned out to be stock rear shocks. Rear susp. is stock plus AAL.

As far as how high,that's up to you and what size tires you want to run. For shocks I use Rancho 9000RSXs. The are 9 position adjustable. On the softest setting the vehicle rides really smooth. On the hardest setting the vehicle handles weight and/or towing really well while having a nice ride. W/o weight on the hardest setting it rides really stiff and w/weight on the softest setting it will have a lot of body roll.

tuff country has the softest advertised spring rates, so they will ride the best out of the box. however if your upper shackle hanger bushing is wore out, you might not get the best ride out of em. those are super easy to replace and really cheap.

I lifted my Blazer front with springs and rear with a shackle flip. It rides great. I bought everything I needed from Off Road Design. Great customer service and parts are quality. Good Luck

I did the Tuff Country 2". I took measurments before and after, and my truck actually was lifted just shy of 4". I think the old springs were so wore out that the truck actually had sagged. If I were going to do it again, I would seriously look at replacing the old springs with new STOCK springs. In my case, that would have lifted my truck around the 2" that I had really wanted.

I used the ORD 4" lift kit comprised of EZ-Ride springs on front and a shackle flip on rear. Pic shown is a little higher due to 2" body lift as well.

Thanks FLDBRED. Those wheels were actually on the truck when I bought it. They're just about the only thing I kept after the frame-off. I believe they are American Racing 16x8's. I put the 37" Kumho's on them. If I wasn't selling the truck, I would put some wider/taller wheels/tires on it. SC
