Just a thought, for the infrequent user of AC recharge hardware, I would check out Harbor Freight. The quality of their stuff is usually not good (i.e. Chinese), but some things are fine. I buy all of my C clamps there and other hand tools, etc. Their website has user reviews which I have found to be honest evaluations of their products.

For the DIY weekend warrior, Harbor Freight will be fine.....Now if you do it for a living, that is a different story.

I just ordered a set of the AC Manifold Gauges from Ebay today as they were cheaper than Harbor Freight by about $20 after shipped (I paid $42.69 shipped and HF is $54.99 before shipping). I've got a vacuum pump ordered from HF though and they're on sale right now (the little cheapie one is only $15.99 on sale here.)

For all you DIY'ers thinking about doing maintenance on your A/C systems, its not hard, but please be careful and pay attention to the pressures and DON'T OVERFILL, don't want to hear any stories about some newbie getting advice off this site and shooting a bunch of freon in his eyes and now is blind for the rest of his life.....if you don't feel comfortable doing it, you probably shouldn't be attempting it. BE CAREFUL!!
