Need help on clutch ?

I ve got a sm465 np205 combo out of a 72 k5 , i need a clutch kit for it do i need a certain size 11 or 12 in does it matter ? I can get a hayes 90 -102 kit for a good price from a friend it is a 12 in diaphram will it work in my set up ? And what flywheel would i need to get say from summit to work with this ? THanks for any help

You should put the same size in that it came with. That flywheel will take either of those sizes but the linkage is designed for a specific one. I prefer the 11 in. unless you are going to do some heavy duty driving or are hard on clutches.

I just got the bellhousing on the trans and the trans case no clutch on it and i dont have a flywheel, how do i know what clutch it came with and whats diff on the linkage between 11 or 12 in clutch? thanks

Look under the dash. If there is a real stout spring hooked to the clutch pedal lever that pulls the clutch pedal to the floor when you push it down a little ways. If so it was equiped with a 12 in clutch. If not it had an 11 in. clutch. The linkage is the same & the flywheel & bell houseing is the same.
