Parting 86 c10 LWB 2WD

I am parting my c10 to pool some moneys for my m1009. I don't drive it anymore and won't be repairing it because I never found a trans cheap enough and close enough to get it goin again. The trans blew out on it hauling one day. Other problems it had were The AC condensor was leaking and the carb needed to be replaced bad. The vacuum lines also needed replacing.

Good parts: The starter, radiator, Alt, compressor, and pwr steering pump do not have many miles on them at all. I had bought them new at oreillys and auto zone. The radiator is sitting in the seat and looks good.

The 305v8 was running good when the carb wasnt too rich.

Parts that are going last: axle, rims, rim caps, the bed, door locks unless it breaks a good deal - dont have them on my blazer, and the metal. If you need it bad, make a good offer and it'll go.

I have some racing rims that I would sell instead and a poor condition axle I would guess came off a Datsun instead. These are on my homemade trailer which is the back half of a Datsun.

The radiator support and grille is a 91 burb support and grille. If I remember correctly, I used quick disconnects on the headlight harness to get it to my firewall.

$200 for radiator support and grille
$100 for radiator
$50 pass fender
$75 pass door
$ driver side fender and door has dents make offer. - window intact
$50 for all the guages
$20 fuse panel
$AC parts - make an offer
$50 for compressor - near new
$25 Alternator
$25 starter
$200 305 V8
$10 Box light
$40 Fuel tank (Duel tanks)
$15 Fuel switch
Fuel lines? Brake lines? Cables?
$25 Aftermarket CD player

Feel free to suggest parts you want to pull and make offers. Don't worry, the dash is tore up and the windshield is working on spider web.

We'll figure out shipping when the part is in a box at UPS or USPS because its private owned and upcharged. Gets me on ebay all the time....

Re: Parting 86 c10 LWB 2WD

Btw, does anyone know how much this frame, motor, trans and body would weigh? I can get 130 to the ton at the crusher and if I cut it and they'll take it, I can get 200 at the scrapper on iron shred for a ton. I was guessing this truck is about 2 tons but I'm not for certain and I'm betting it'll weigh a lot less once parting is through at the end of the month.

Re: Parting 86 c10 LWB 2WD

Looked like I have 1 1/16" on my sway bar as well. The control arms do have rust. Don't have a ship quote because I'm not sure of what they weigh and haven't removed them. Need hornet spray anyway. The interior isn't that good at all. It would only be a step up from nothing if you ask me. The seat is strong though. Might not have rust on it if you want me to rip the fabric off or take a picture of it out of the truck or something. I might put it in the blazer if it'll fit between the fenders. Don't think it will though...

Also, I had those pipes for if I every got the exhaust fixed on this truck. They have rust and would need chrome to look good but might work out if you are interested.

Re: Parting 86 c10 LWB 2WD

Sorry, I dropped the ball this week. I finally got the wasps out from under there but my GM quit on Tuesday so there's been running around like mice between here and Arkansas. Killed my off days and the time I thought I would have between jobs got ate up too because I have to come in early on Saturday and Sunday. The good news is I'll be off during the day Monday and Tuesday so I should be able to start turning wrenchs and stay getting it apart until every odd and end is off.

I have been checking which parts are requested and will be taking them off in that order. I wll weigh them all at one time at night though so I don't have to go back and forth to the computer all day.

Beam, as far as the rims and hubcaps, I'm open to offers to change my mind but I was going to put the bed, axle, and gas tanks on my homemade trailer to keep the chevy form and style.

Re: Parting 86 c10 LWB 2WD

I'm with ya on that. I'd do the same if I had a homemade trailer I was building. I like the idea of keeping the chevy form and style. I'll continue my search out this way for some. Thanks bud!

Sorry for the huge delay. My GM quit and I haven't had time away from work to do more than go to the grocery store and then do it all over again.
