FYI Hookers

Just bolted up my new black ceramic coated cast iron hooker exhaust manifolds and they fit perfectly. I'm using ece motor mounts. They also come with pipe flanges for the exit. I purchase them from Josh at K-Y turbo out of Kentucky. He was very helpful by providing me with measurements. It also helped since holly Hooker was only five minutes from his facility he was able to just go there and pull them out of stock and shipping was quick. I originally tried to purchase them from summit but couldn't get for sure ship date. Oh yeah they were 410.00 shipped to California. I know some people are thinking that's a lot of money for cast manifold but I'm building a d/d and didn't want any trouble with headers. They are very nice and tuck tight against the block I must say and the exit flange don't make any stupid turns towards the block or frame. My other option were the thorley ls swap headers from summit but they were 615.00 plus shipping. Just thought I'd provide a little info thanks.

Re: FYI Hookers

We need pics!! Yeah, there's been a few guys use those on LS1Tech. They have all been happy with them. They claim they fit older vehicles better, look cleaner, flow better than factory manifolds. Plus they're coated, so you don't have to fool with all the cleaning and grinding.

Re: FYI Hookers

I knew the picture question was coming, the pictures were taken with my smart phone and I don't know how to post tried before and failed. If u pm me your # I would be happy to send them and maybe you can post them. I'm hoping one of these car/truck magazine would get a hold of a set and do a dyno test. I know there a little expensive but couldn't find any camaro manofoids in my area and wasn't wanting to buy off e bay and having them show up with broke studs and other stupid things wrong with them. Like I said before these are quality made coated and very nice and will be trouble free for the rest of my exhaust run thanks. Oh forgot to mention the ls conversion going in 69 c/10.

Download the photobucket App, create an account if you don't have one. On the app select "upload photo" and click the images you want from the gallery. They will que and upload to photobuckets website in your album. Find the picture and select the "img" url listed under the picture. Copy it and paste it here inside of your post. Viola...images.

Re: FYI Hookers

Hooker claims they will support up to 550hp. I'm not sure how true it is, but I read somewhere that these were based off of the Cadillac CTS-V manifolds. I've also heard claims of CTS-V manis still being used with tuned engines making over 700hp.

Re: FYI Hookers

Glad to see they fit nicely, I had planned to go with these on my 5.3.
