Sweeet 67 at Goodguys
There were some really nice 67-72 trucks at Goodguys this weekend in Ft. Worth. This was the best truck there by far. The guy spent 12 years building it, and did almost everything on it himself. I think about the only thing he didn't do was the seats....

Here's the rear view. I don't really like stepside that much. This is one that I would love to own...

The interior was cool too. I love the red and black combo.
BTW- anyone notice anything strange about the door? |

Can we get a pic of the engine? It looks like an LT1. I'm a sucker for LT1s

Did anyone notice the rear window glass is flush mounted? a la late model truck?
Also, those are late model street scene mirrors on the doors. The gaps between the door and cab have been "tuned up". They're perfect. There is no 67-72 door with that nice of gaps stock. Kevin

dido on those mirrors they look really cool. I really like the way the firewall looks. I would enjoy some more pictures of the interior but I am sure I will see them in a magazine in the near future

My shabby (by comparison) old '72 was parked right next to Mike Hall's beautiful 67-72, (you can see my truck through the window in the interior shot) . His truck is a combination of several year models. He spent 10 years on this project. I had the pleasure of the full tour, as we both arrived at our designated spot at about 6:30 AM. What NU2TRUX is talking about are the doors, not the door handles. The cab of Mike's truck has been stretched 6 inches. I am 6' 4" tall and Mike must be about 6' 6". He needed the extra leg room so he used two cabs and 4 doors to accomplish this monumental task. As a result of the stretch, the dash was also lengthened the same amount. As for the front and rear glass - he filled (with metal) where the rubber used to be and glued in the stock glass for a flush look. What appears to be a late model bed is actually the stock bed. The "late-model" steps are actually reversed cab corners. Look closely and you will see the "mirror image" look. The engine is an LT-1 ( i think ). I didn't even want to know how much money he had tied up in this baby.
BY THE WAY - Who makes the grill he has on his truck? I would love to have one on my truck.

Hey guys. The motor was actually a ZZ4 crate motor with a TPI on it. I have some good shots of it I'll download. I looked at that truck several times over the weekend and found little custom stuff all over it. All the mods were so well done, you had to really look to see something was different. Also, my dad and I were showing our truck all weekend and went to the awards deal. That truck was picked as top late pickup. He won a huge trophy with $1000 bones stuffed in the cup on top. Must be rough

BraveDave, the bed "appears" to be a modified original, but it's not. I also talked to Mike. The bed is completely owner fabricated. The bedsides are double-walled. I made sure I took a lot of pictures and asked a lot of questions because I've wanted to put a stepside bed on my truck. Mike said he didn't like how much narrower the original bed was compared to the cab, so he custom fabricated an entire bed. I agree with N2TRUX, this truck was the nicest there.
