NIce feeltside!!! We've also got a 58 GMC fleetside in the works. It's nice to see more GMC's coming out of the shadows. You don't see to many of them anymore

Re: 1958 GMC Fleetside C4
Looks like a good build. Have you done the c4 swap before? I an looking at building a burb for my wife and just trying to see what might be best. My 59 is running a camaro sub and 4 link, which I like very well but if there is something better.......

My first C4 swap. Running camaro clip & reworked leaf springs on my 57 Chevy Stepside handles good. My bros Albert,Rich,& Mario installed C4 on 49 Caddy w shockwaves & 56 GMC w coilovers both handle like slot cars! Found a C4 donor car for half the price of a new IFS. Re: 1958 GMC Fleetside C4
That's a good reference site but the sticker shock is a bit much. I'll follow your thread and see the results. I am in no hurry since I have my cabover and NAPCO to finish first. C4's are cheap around me.

Re: 1958 GMC Fleetside C4
Can't wait to see this one done. Would like to see how you do the front bags. I reused the cradle and the stock vette spring is too soft. Mine is too low and hits with large dips in the road. The back was too high but longer bolts and a spring shave and it sits just right. Bags and coil overs are expensive. I've got a stiffer (and adjustable) VB&P spring ordered to see if I can fix the front but it's been 2 weeks so not real happy there.
Your other truck is beautiful... but I have to admit I like the GMC pickups better because you never ever see them on the road or at shows!
