Under the hood tricks
So just wondering what all tricks you guys might have up your sleaves as far as hiding things under the hood to get that super clean and simple engine bay look. Really showcase the motor! How about some tips and or pictures/stories.

I am thinking about mounting the fusebox under the seat and running the wires from from the frame up.

battery behind seat, shave firewall seam, engine wires come in behind motor, front end wires in flex under heater hoses
 and just added... radiator cover

all wires come out behind the motor and the wires that go to the front run under the inner fenders so no wires show.. takes a little more time to do it this way but looks a lot better. nothing looks worse than wires hanging all over the place.. even if you have your wires out tie them up and route them in a safe and good looking way.. makes all the difference in the world..

I have been thinking about mine alot. Will drop the engine harness and front harness low thru the firewall by the inside of the frame. Engine will run behind the engine to starter stuff. Alt and ac will run in a tube like the photo (from Kustombrad, flared brake line with clips). Water from the port on the head below the exhaust manifold. Front loom will run in the frame then up the rad support like stock. wires will drop off for the horns, light harness plug in the inner panels, then under the rad support to the passenger side lights. Battery cables will run behind battery tray.

I need to get a current under hood shot.
I just added a/c and ran all the lines under the fender. It worked flawlessly and I don't have 4 big hoses visible. |

Solid, I am running mine inside too. You might think about using some connectors like the ones in the photo. They are commercial hard plastic pipe holders for unistrut type hangers. I tapped the plate next to the fender panel so I could use a nice chrome hex bolt from the inside. I would be concerned about the cable ties cutting into your hoses over time due to vibration.

I use the cable ties in the mock up to hold the hoses until I could place the hard "hose holders" like you used, did not have a pic of that one !!! I did weld some 5/16" nuts to the inner fender before paint so I could make some attachments without a penetration in the inner fender
