Calling all fleetsides with 20's.....lets see em please

OK guys, this may have been run aground more than once but I searched and didn't find it so here I am. I'm trying to decide on which wheels to go with on my 72 fleetside shorty, going to do a 4/6 drop...maybe even 5/7 and I'm sure I want 20's all the way around. However I cant decide if I want Boss 338's, Coys, Torque Thrusts, Billet Specialties or something other than these. Help me out and post up some pics of what you're running.... any backspacing info you have would be great as well. Thanks for the help everyone!

big d, looking good, nice stance!
is that a static drop on your truck (suspension only, no bags)?
you have any rubbing issues in the inner fender wells?
are those intro wheels....sorry so many questions but the last one of these trucks I had was running the old scool rallies and 275/60's

Yes it is a static drop no bags, I have 2 1/2 inch drop spindles and 2 inch springs with half a coil cut on the front and Porterbuilt 3inch lowering trailing arms with 4inch lowering springs in the rear. I have had no problem with rubbing in the front but I wish I would have went with 5 inch backspace, the rear is tight on the inner tubs but no rub. The wheels are Boss 225. You can never ask to many questions thats how we all learn, I'm glad to answer any that I can.

Would love to see some 20" Torque Thrust wheels on a truck. I'm 6 lug and if I don't go with steel/dog dish that would be what I'd like to do.

yeah, grey centered 20" torque trusts were my first choice.....I know they have become "run of the mill", but they have a classic look and I still love them, and they look sweet on ol trucks!

Just put the Boss 338s on. 20x10 rear 5" backspace 295/45 tires. You wanted to see 20s and the fronts are 18" so don't look at them haha

I'm looking to do the same set up on my 72 GMC short Step. What size front tire did you use?

If you're going to use the Boss wheel be aware of the clearance issue on front rotors. It's not a big deal but it wont simply bolt on:

Don't mean to sidetrack this great thread but I'm at the same point with my 72 lwb fleetside. What do you have to do to get the 20s to fit? I've got disc front and drum rear. going for the JWALL stance.

have read about fitment issues on the 338 fronts with interference with the rotor....then read that the problem has been fixed with later generation wheels but that's just hear say, don't know anyone who has them that were a strait bolt on. but for the $$$ the mods might not be that big of a deal?

jwall, that sucker is the daddy rabbit for sure!!! I'm really liking the wheel/tire fitment on your truck....how there is no fender well gap.....is your truck a typical static drop or a bag setup? you know what backspacing your running?
