transfer shift knob

I believe i have a NP205 transfer case on a 1972 chevy truck and i am needing a transfer shift knob. I need to know what the shift pattern is. Is it
2h 4h N 4L or 4L N 2H 4L
I am not able to drive the truck or i would try to figure it out.
I've seen both listed and i do not know which is correct. Thanks

Re: transfer shift knob

I'd like to know too. I just swapped out my TH-350/NP 203 for a built 700R4/NP 205 and don't have the shifter knob.

Re: transfer shift knob

4L - N - 2H - 4H

This is a option if you are looking for something different than orignal

Re: transfer shift knob

If you want a plain black know look on ebay for tractor shift and transfer knobs. I got two for $5 plus $1.50 shipping. Same knobs in the auto parts sections are going for $15+ each. If you search you will see they come in different diameters, mushroom shape, and with different standard thread patterns.

I would like to find one with the shift pattern. I think I located one here locally.
