Gas Door for Huge fill hole Mockup....

Been working on this stepside and have been directing my attention to the bed. The owner had installed a gas tank with a huge fill hole and lid. I had been regretting having to do the work because nothing that I came up with looked good in my mind. This is what I came up with. It is only mockup right now and I will be installing a lock on it so that he can pull the door open to fill the tank. I also need to recess the assembly down about 1/8" to 3/16" so the top of it is flush with the top of the stainless steel strips. What do you think? WES

Oh, the door is a chrome door made for jeeps. WES

Looks good to me. BTW how are you coming on the panel? I'm about to start the hatch /half barn door conversion on the Burb, was just wondering if youve progressed any and if so any pics or advice?

Looks great!

Hope he does not go to California, he will never get the gas nozzle to seal on that monster

Ya, Don't do it..lol Seriously, I haven't even touched it in a couple of years. I will get back into it some day. It has already cost me a couple thousand dollars and I don't like where the doors were cut. Probably another 3 grand aught to get that customization done..
