8 lug to 5/6 lug

my truck is a 3/4 ton thats static dropped. im having a very hard time finding wheels that are the correct offset, with, size. i lowered a 3/4ton because i wanted it to be unique rather than a 1/2 ton. since i cant find any wheels that i like(or fit), i was wondering if i can keep the 3/4 suspension but drill out the 8lug pattern to a 5 or 6 lug pattern. the only thing is, i dont know if a 5/6 lug pattern can fit over the center hub on a 3/4 ton axle. any help/opinions apreciated.

Re: 8 lug to 5/6 lug

There are conversion drop spindles. You keep everything except the spindle and brakes. In the rear they make 5 lug hubs. $400 bucks.

Re: 8 lug to 5/6 lug

yeah i dont want to buy drop spindles again. i already spent $400 on mine. the problem is the wheels that will fit and do look really nice are over $2000! so i just thought that maybe converting it to 5/6 lug would be cheeper but it doesnt look like its going to be.

Re: 8 lug to 5/6 lug

Your gonna have to change spindles and the rearend at a minimum.
No redrilling will get it done.
Spending more money is your only option.
A donor truck might make things cheaper.
