installing doors

I have had these painted for a week but I was scared about putting them on. Because we all know they can be a bear to line up. But I put the drivers side on. I don't know how it happened but I got it on and only had one minor adjustment and here is the pictures. I was lucky and hope the other side goes that smooth.

Re: installing doors

Looks good to me. Now do the other one. I've never felt doors were any big deal. It's when you get to the front clip when alignment gets fun

Re: installing doors

You can do it. I used blue painter's tape at all the edges to keep from scuffing anything up. Once you get the doors gaps good you can gap the front clip from the doors forward. Don't forget to mock-up the cowel when you set the fenders.
Good luck.

Re: installing doors

Almost forgot....might be a good idea to install your door seals before the final door gaps are set.
Love the 2 tone BTW.

Re: installing doors

I used the tape idea also, it works good. It will be a while on the fenders the only thing i have done to them is sand blast. still need to prep and paint Along with the hood and bed. Here is some pics of the engine.

Looks like the total cash out of pocket on this build is about 1900.00 dollars when it is done. I say not bad for a hibilly build.

I do not concider my time in the play house working on it a cost, because i am there Wither it be on the truck or pidiling i am out there anyways.

That looks great for only $1900! Did you do the paint and body work yourself?
