Condenser fan?
Can someone tell me what controls the electric fan that is mounted on my ac condenser in my 87 one ton? All of a sudden if the key is on the fan is on. I have never had an ac truck before and have not used the ac on this one.

Re: Condenser fan?
Pretty sure that's the engine oil cooler fan if it is there is a sensor in the right cyl head I belive if it is indeed a condensor fan then it would be controled by a pressure switch in the a/c line or the switch on the accumulater

Re: Condenser fan?
It's not an oil cooler . It's definitely the ac condenser it's on. I unplugged the accumulator and got no change. It may have been on an oil cooler at one time. The oil lines have since been rerouted. I did recently have the right head off I'll check the sending unit . I can't remember it right now .
