LS 5.3 in extreme dropmember QUESTIONS from a guy that doesnt know anything

I swear i have searched and cant find a clear enough answer to pull the trigger on motor/trans purchase. (fyi im running nates extreme dropmember, and i will be asking him the same question but i know how busy he is). Originally i wanted to find an ls1/460le combo to run beacuse of looks(manifold)/power and seems more straight forward install for dropmember. But after searching and searching the 5.3 combo seems more in my budget. So far what i understand is i need to replace it with and f body oil pan (i assume the blocks are the same and its just a swap). Here is what i need (swap for dummies) info on..

So the accessories all need to be relocated because of clearance?

At that point will i be better served just ponying up for the ls1 because it will end up being about the same cost at the end? (i know that relative to what i wound be paying for the combos..roughly 5.3 $1700 5.7 $3200) ???

Just an fyi... I have no affiliation or idea about this person but it may be worth a call.

For me a 5.3 combo was $1300 and all I needed.

Thanks for finding that for me (miles a bit to high than what i want).

Are you running the extreme drop member?, if so i assume you had to change the location of the accessories with the 5.3 correct?

Nah, I'm running ECE mounts and will be using 2.5" drop spindles...nothing extreme here.

Sorry, I can't answer your question, otherwise.

The generic aftermarket pan that you can buy (apparently an H3 pan) sits just at the level of the stock cross member. I think just the little nub from the oil drain plug sits below the level of the stock cross member. Just another fyi...

Front what i understand you need a truck accessory bracket to mount the alternator and other accessories in the order. I went with a LY5 5.3 tahoe motor. This way i didnt have to move anything. I am swapping the oil pan with a gen 4 camaro oil pan.
