What seats are you using in your 67-72?
My bench seat has had it. My dogs have trashed the original cover and the foam, so I recovered it. I told myself when they trashed the new cover I would go in search of something with a flip up arm rest and possibly cup holders.
I like the 95-98 chevy truck seats. I know they are comfortable, but I would like to know if anyone has identified a donor vehicle that has the flip up arm rest with cup holders. I dont mind fabricating some type of custom mounting to the cab floor. I also have to keep in mind the T-56 shifter. It has been relcoated forward and just barely clears the bench in 2nd, 4th, and 6th gear. Post pics or share the year/make/model of what you have found to work. Also, I'd like to know where you guys are finding there seats....ebay, craigslist, etc. |

Re: What seats are you using in your 67-72?
The grey one looks like the seat that was in my '92 GMC K-3500. I replaced it with a seat out of a '96 Chevy. The '96 seat has more padding and the fold-down arm rest with storage in it.

Ooohh. Those are nice seats MrHorsepower, alittle more than I wanted to spend, but nice. Thanks for posting that.
I am not a fan of the '92 seats. Too small of an arm rest and uncomfortable in my opinion. |

Eh, they're alright, better than sitting in the original oil-soaked seat Eventually I'll probably put some Blazer buckets in there.

Re: What seats are you using in your 67-72?
I'm 6'-2" and fit ok. They are really nice and fit the truck well. The seats do push you forward slightly but not bad. I always slide down in the seat when I drive so it fits me just fine. No issues with sitting to tall at all. Feels pretty similar to stock bench.

I put a 60/40 split bench with a center fold-down arm rest from a 98 Silverado into my Blazer.

Re: What seats are you using in your 67-72?
I really like the '95-'98 60/40 truck seat and like all the features. More than likely thats what I will end up going with. But, before I buy a set I was wandering if something exists with cup holders.
Where are ya'll finding your seats? I have gone to several salvage yards around me and if they have them they are in bad shape or have been sitting out in the elements getting wet and dirty. I'd love to find a place that has a warehouse of seats to go browse through. |

Re: What seats are you using in your 67-72?
These are in the truck my dad just got. They are out of a Ford Mustang. Personally I'm not a fan, I mean they are comfortable but they just don't sit right. Trucks are meant to have bench seats IMO!

Re: What seats are you using in your 67-72?
The best part was that I was looking to buy my seats new online on the mentioned link I provided. I got a wild hair and check e-bay and BAM.........there was a set on there with mounting brackets so I bought them and saved $400. The guy had bought them new and after installing them he thought they didn't look rioght so he pulled them out and posted them for sale on E-bay. I got lucky but would seriously spend the money over again if I had too because these are great seats and so damn comfy. I get compliments on them all the time and actually had a guy make me a cash offer to pull them out and sell them to him at a car show. hahahahahaha

Re: What seats are you using in your 67-72?
maybe not what you want but I searched jy's and came up with a buddie seat frame and console from a 70's dodge truck and some 70's dodge van buckets. with some fab and paint I have a lil' over $50 in the whole set up. they have the look with a fraction of the cost and they are surprizingly comfy
I agree with what is said above though oe looks best but with a lil'imagination some luck and pateince it can be pulled off without going oe.

Re: What seats are you using in your 67-72?
Rear bench out of a newer super duty! About same dimensions as factory and being a rear seat they see much less use. Mine has a flip down armrest and the cup holder attaches to front of seat (didn't work with my shifter) but I'm totally happy with my choice. Craigslist btw.

Re: What seats are you using in your 67-72?
I got the seat free so it was a no brainer. The seat in the truck at the time was wasted. Springs were duct taped down so I used it. I think it seats well for me. They have been in the truck since early 90's.They fit up against the back side good and I have plenty of leg room.

Re: What seats are you using in your 67-72?
i used 3 piece seats from 03 silverado. i wanted seatbelts that were incorporated in seats for safety. i picked leather ones up at a car show for $ 50. the local upholstery shop is going to do a original houndstooth pattern, they fit good with very little mods
