Re: Picture Thread: Parts

Im feeling better everytime i check this thread out. Im not the only one down with the sickness. I like the tack dash room, tilt colomns and rack for them, you cant have to many hubcaps for sure. But special k your out of hand with the seatbelts. I will dig some more up later.

Do I have more seat belts than most? Hmmm...I see signs all the time that say,"Buckle up,it's the law". I took that to mean stock up on buckles. Just trying to abide by the law.

Re: Picture Thread: Parts

Ok,let's vote. I nominate Southern Parts as the seat belt and hubcap king,To Much Stuff as the tach dash, emblem, and tailgate band king,Lolife99 as the tach dash lense and printed circuit king, and STP67-72 s the... (I'd have to look back and look).Oh,and me for the worthless stuff king!

I never hear any talk about these era-correct wheels.I wish someone would make them again.Back then I looked at them as el cheapo versions of aluminum slots AND,like all chrome wheels, something that looks great new then starts to rust. But now most trucks guys redo sit in garages and only go out in good weather (if they can help it) and the chrome could certainly be kept up easily

Re: Picture Thread: Parts

Nice! I always liked those back in the day,too...even farther back in the days. For the same reason I got away from them, but for the same reasons, now,I have a set of those in the future as one set of wheels for myretro '67. I have the 5-lug 8 x 15s I had powdercoated red back in '05. My plan was to use wheel covers and get Diamondback to make me 3/8" ww wide radials for a low/wide but stockish look...with a touch of red on the wheel edge showing like the old boys did. Then I started thinking that was a waste of a fairly rare wheel and started collecting dog dishes to use with blackwalls. The problem is I'm tied to making red work, which is fine I guess. But,to keep my options open, and now that it's become easy to buy whatever you want from Wheel Vintiques,I'm back to the wheelcovers/thin whitewall plan, get chrome reverse for the dog dish, and as I've planned all along,a set of vintage style mags like Torque Thrusts or Cragars. Now that I've revealed my secret plans...

Special K, do you want lug nuts for 8 lug wheels? I'll keep 2 as spares (I need parts too) you can have the rest. I'll send a beat up original antenna too if you want it.
Do you have a bed side tool box lock? No key needed

Julie,I think it was me who flubbed up on the use of features of this site. I had a notification of a profile message, which was yours and I posted a reply...there. Well shoot, why would you be going back to my profile? I sure don't myself, unless I get a notification. I should have replied in a private message. That would have gone straight to you. I'll send you an e-mail. And thanks! Oh,I was kinda kidding about the pictures. Just saying, this "is" a thread about parts pictures and lug nuts is parts, right?

Yeah Trevor, how was it to see "your" shoulder belts...from when I showed them to Tim when he bought them before he sold them to you? And,I bought them from Southern Parts before that! Keepin' them in the family,I guess.
