There are few CKG10 series trucks I really "want" but this was one and I should never have let it get away.

I agree! I think I would of liked this too. I sold a guy some parts many of years ago in 90's. He had a factory Black GMC with Blue interior. I've often wondered about that truck.

Re: Solid paint Cheyennes and CST's

Black with blue trim or Black with olive trim are combos you don't see often. IMHO they look great (especially a Cheyenne or Super) and don't have that black hole effect a Black with black trim truck often has.

Unfortunately they are hard to find and rarely original.
Can't recall ever seeing a Solid Black CST, Cheyenne or C Super with Blue Bucket trim. If someone has a picture please post it.
Even the occasional "nice one" can be a little less than desirable.
To me this Deluxe Two-Tone just doesn't work visually.

Re: Solid paint Cheyennes and CST's

I agree Tim, needs to be a solid black truck to look right. I had a 72 C/30 cab and chassis years ago that was solid black with green interior. The base model green color, not olive. It was pretty interesting lol

Re: Solid paint Cheyennes and CST's

That base 612 green vinyl trim was a love hate color. With Black it probably looked good. The colors it really "worked" with were the Medium Green, White, Light Yellow and Dark Green. Here is a Dark Olive metallic it doesn't work so well with.

Found a nice, rarely seen combinaion for sale.
A "true" 71 Cheyenne Super 20 in Solid 525 Light Yellow paint with Parchment trim.
Looks to be a late June 71 build from Freemont.

Do you know where in California that truck came from? Also how long ago it left?
