Re: new ride! 85 c10

Well ive done a million things to my truck since this last post i need to catch up with some pics. Swapped in a 12 bolt, working on a 4 speed conversion, made front wheel tubs out of bed tubs, lowered it, redid the engine bay, and am currently working on the interior. Pics coming soon!!!!

Re: new ride! 85 c10

Here are a couple of pics from doing the flipkit. I scored a 12 bolt for free so i figured i might as well put the flipkit in while i was doing the rear. I also installed a fuel cell and cleaned up the frame while the bed was off. Sprayed the frame with eastwoods rust treatment and then with their chassis paint. Great product.

Re: new ride! 85 c10

And here is progress and the motor. Same motor just made it pretty and changed intakes. Used to have a victor jr. but swapped out for a edelbrock crosswind for better low end.

Re: new ride! 85 c10

Off work today so i figured id drop the front and tackle the ball joints. I was told that the top balljoint is very easy to get out and the bottom one is a bear! Complete opposite for me. The bottom one came out one hit on both sides and the top one was very stubborn. Oh well. Gonna get everything cleaned up and painted the cut the coil and put on the drop spindles. 3" Belltech spindles and cutting one coil.

Re: new ride! 85 c10

Got the top ball joints in no problem but had nothing to press the bottom ones in with. After trying a bunch of jerry riggin i called my buddy and hes gonna stop over tomorrow with a tool. And since im fairly sure nobody reads this i do the cha cha like a sissy girl.

Re: new ride! 85 c10

Got my buddies ball joint tool today and they went in effortlessly. I dont like the angle of the shock though. Do they make shock relocating kits for the front like they do for the back?
