Well what exactly is wrong with yours? is it not working at all or missing? I would probably hook up a manual choke if your choke spring assembly is missing or no good. And it gives you the best cold weather starting control as you can adjust on the fly.

Re: electronic choke conversion

I have a 70 with a worn out spring on the choke. I hooked up a manual choke, but the aftermarket ones are very poor quality now. Wish I could find a good one. I'd really rather have a new spring, but that seems to be hard to come by....wonder if the V8 one would work?

the LMC catalog shows one for the 6 but the picture does not look any thing like the spring on the truck now

A manual choke has no spring,it's connected to the choke linkage itself and adjusted from the cab via the cable

Re: electronic choke conversion

The choke cable I had in my 69 c10 with an inline six wouldn't reach so I went to o'reillys and bought their manual choke conversion kit for about $20 and it works great. I would suggest it.

Re: electronic choke conversion

Trac we were talking about replacing the original automatic choke spring. Larry, the only thing I see in LMC is a choke pull off. Not a choke thermostat.
