Short bed step side

I found a good solid bed for sale, its a short/step side. Real solid with a good tailgate, I think I can get it for $250. Is that a good enough price to buy and put back because I sold my truck and am looking for another one?

Re: Short bed step side

Sounds like a decent price even better if it doesn't have the tire cut out on drvs. fender.

Re: Short bed step side

I'd say that's fair. I picked up a parts truck not long ago that's a short step. Bout what I figured the bed was worth. Seen them go as high as seven hundy in good shape.

Re: Short bed step side

I paid $300 for a good, west coast rust free step fender. Yeah, that's a deal for the whole bed.

Re: Short bed step side

A few years ago I bought a swb stepper bed for $500. It was well worht it because it was all fixed and ready for primer and paint.

We used it when we did a build on my swb '67.

Re: Short bed step side

I'm going to look at it this weekend, he said really the only issue is where a tire blew out before he got it and there might be a little straightening to do. I'll keep you posted
