'67 door differences

Can someone tell me what is unique about a '67 door? I've been told that they are unique about the door handle but all the repops are '67-72. I'm in need of doors for my '67 so I wanted to be looking for the right thing.

Also, can you stand up the bed on its end (opposite tailgate) on your garage floor without any damage? I've seen this in several pictures and would like to do so I don't have to fix some bed supports on my back.

Re: '67 door differences

The only difference is the door handle and vent wing. The '72 is different too but thats not your question. From the outside you can't tell the difference in the handles. Setting the bed upright is fine but don't plan on doing after the front edges have been worked and in primer.

Re: '67 door differences

67 doors actually have two dimples where the door handles go and the inside bracket is designed for 67 only door handles. Pretty easy to change over. Other than dimples sheet metal is the same.

Re: '67 door differences

I knew the vent windows were unique for '67 but didn't know the difference in the handle. So, I would like to keep the vent windows so do they just drop into any '67-72 door shell and nobody would know the difference?

Thanks for the help.

Re: '67 door differences

Yes,the vent window assemblies interchange. The difference is in the glass frame and glass itself due to the latch not bolting through a hole in the glass.
