under hood harness

I took everything apart and don't know what's what.

How can i check to make sure i have a usable harness and can some one assist me with the correct way to hook everything back up. Pictures would be good thanks guys btw this forum is AWESOME

Fitz has a great suggestion for you.
I relied on help from lots of great folks on this forum. These schematics are what I followed. The third schematic shows the external regulator removed and the new wiring for the internally regulated alternator. I changed to an internally regulated alternator installed a remote starter solenoid and installed relays on everything. If you choose to install the relays (this really cleans things up and is worth the effort) there are schematics easy to locate with a search of this site. I took advantage off having all that ripped out and ran my wires behind the sheet metal. If you do that be sure to slip some wire loom aver the wire bundle to protect them from chafing. Sorry I don't have pics of the finished product. I jumped into the body work as soon as I finished the wiring. Remember to solder and shrink tube everything. Have fun!
