BBC oil pan

New here iv been lurking around for quite some time now, I just got the tall deck 427 in my 86 GMC short box. Pulled out the factory 4.1 Liter inline 6 dropped in a pretty healthy tall deck 427 and th400, 8.5 10 bolt true tack with a 3.73 gear set truck gets along pretty good id have to say but back to the original question i sand blasted the oil pan(it was a little crusty) it was also all i had at the moment and painted it with 3M under coating none the less it seems to me seeping and seeping a little more when warm is it possible to do a oil pan in the truck? I know with a small block chevy you can it you get the counter weights in the right place and want to dick around but is it doable with a Big Block chevy

Re: BBC oil pan

sure is. bit of a pita though. swapped oil pumps, had to jack motor up,(454) have a deep sump pan. with motor in the truck, fel-pro one piece oil pan gasket is your friend.
