? About 67-70 bumper guards

Has anyone ever tried to mount these where bumper mounts to frame instead of stock location? The stock location, according to my instructions is 6 5/16 inches outside the bolts that hold the bumper to the frame in the center of the bumper. It may not be possible to hold guards in place while mounting bumper. Thanks in advance Tim. (These being 67-70 bumper guards).

Yes, I mounted mine there. I used to have a push bar there and had a hole I wanted to cover is why I did it. I forgot exactly how I did it but it wasn't too hard.

Are those the original bumper gaurds for 67 to 70
if they are how much do the sell for.
