I have reviewed my manuals, the flow wouldnt cause any new leaks, so I am up to finding what this leak is about, the last was the dipstick, that wasnt seated properly, and the prior owner beat it in from the top.this leak is coming from the bottom of the pump, but I replaced everything on there, so I will re-check to make sure the bolts are properly seated in the transmission case

The cooler lines being reveesed wont cause any problems.
Did you replace the oring on the outside of the pump?

oh, yea, all the rings on the pump have been replaced, that was the first thing I did when I started.

as I think back on the removal of everything, the bolts seemed to be a bit loose when I loosened them. the were properly torqued back in when I re-installed them

So you replaced the seals on the stator that seal inside the drums, but the one i am talking about is on the cover on the outside and is a large square cut seal that seals the pump to the case. Also did you replace the little flat washers on the pump bolts?

I didnt have any seals for the bolts themselves

I found a guy on craigslist here in the denver metro area that had another th350 with a torque converter, which cost me about $200.00 (dang good deal) he says rebuilt about 5k ago, and the blazer it used to be in was wrecked in a he kept the trans, now its sitting in the bed of my truck, thursday my next day off I am going to open it and look it through, and it looks to be in good shape, I will install it, and take the old trans, and take the pump out and replace the bolt holes and get the pieces for the bolt. the guy also offered me a chevy 454 and a 350 motors. I told him I didn't need them, but i would mention it here in case someone does need a motor. So if you need a 350 or a 454, let me know, and I'll get back in contact with him for prices and whatnot.

When you installed the input ring gear over the sun-gear assembly, did you have more resistance in the counter clock wise direction like the books suggest?? Im getting no extra resistance and the snap ring had no problem going on. Im confused as if it matters..

I am sorry I haven't posted to this in awhile, I had to move, get a divorce, and start rebuilding a house in order to get the transmission back into the truck, which happened today, I just need to get everything connected, linkage, drivelines, emergency brake cable, and get the shrouds back on, do my tune up and fluid change, and my '77 will be running again.

I am sorry it took awhile to get back to you with this answer;
actually no, I had marked the way the pieces went back in so that way it would operate as normal, and pictures were so much easier to look and match up as well.
