Thanks, makes sense now that you mentioned the obvious. Guess I forgot to mention I pulled the body off the frame, wire harness off the body/frame, so I sort of left the harness move with the engine. I'll keep the harness to re-install if I don't buy a new harness.

Just lay the harness out of the way when you remove the old engine. It's part of the truck. Then you can modify it as needed when the new engine is in place and the harness draped over it so you can see which wires you want to modify to fit best.
