Wiring diagram for headlight switch?

I'm going a custom gauge cluster and I'm not going to use the factory headlight switch. I need to know what wires control the marker/cruising lights and the headlights. I'm just going to run them off a toggle switch on a panel. I see the switch has a plug with numbered male ends on the switch. Can someone tell me what is what? Thanks!

I'm assuming the GMCs and Chevys are the same? Thanks for the link!

Also need to consider that the factory headlamp circuit breaker is part of the switch. So if you remove the switch there will be no circuit protection. Even if you are going to add headlamp relays you should plan on a fuse or circuit breaker on the control side.

No problem, man. Chances are, GMC is the same as Chevy, but one of the few differences IS that the GMC has an extra set of headlights, so I don't know for sure. This should get you very close though. That, and following Tim's advice

Re: Wiring diagram for headlight switch?

Great points from both of you. I do realize about the fused part and that will be addressed. Thanks again.

Here's a GMC v8 schematic for engine compartment in case you need it.
