Some shots of the M1028 I have been working on while I wait on my 79 GMC K35 crew cab to come back from the paint shop.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

Re: How bout some pictures of '73-'87 regular cab dually

I have had this a month as of tomorrow. In that time I have put a newer mono on and changed the fluids. It runs, stops, and goes. The frame and drivetrain are all good and it is a great starting point mechanically.
I went from a 6060lb 12x8 steel/wood bed crew cab 84 with suspension set up to carry 2,000lbs to this little bugger. I can actually park this thing and even with the little 292 the thing gets up and goes. I am stockpiling parts now. I need to run it across a scale. Maybe it is all the wood/aluminum, less leafs, or the fact that most of the sheet metal is paper thin or gone. But I am guessing it is around 4500lbs.

Re: How bout some pictures of '73-'87 regular cab dually

Here's mine the way I got it (with 3 different tire sizes, leaking from every possible place, and many issues), and where she has come in just a few short weeks. No more leaks, runs like a dream, matching tires, and enjoyable to drive.
