WTB: SM-series 4-spd Shifter
Looking for an original SM-series 4-speed shifter.. I don't know if mine was shortened--or why it's welded. But I'm looking for an original shifter to model to possibly replace mine.. Also-any information regarding other possible vehicles the shifter can be found in.. I wanted a nice looking chrome mast-but I can't find any aftermarket makers of the mast..
Would need a price + shipping to 60002 if you aren't local.. thanks, John Last edited by hemifalcon; 12-21-2012 at 04:03 PM. |

Will one out of a 65 work? If so what's it worth to you?

here's a '63 I'd do for $50 shipped, including the shift knob.

Re: WTB: SM-series 4-spd Shifter
Just a FYI, the SM420 trans was used from sometime in the 50's thru 1967. As far as I know all SM420 shifters will interchange. I have never seen an original chromed SM420 shifter.

Re: WTB: SM-series 4-spd Shifter
Nick..
thanks--I got the shifter.. It's however pretty different from mine in that the selector lever on my original mast is "fixed" to the mast rather than inside the collar like the one you sent with the roll-pin.. I'll probably use it to make mine longer.. |
