The early bird catches the.......67' short fleet
I received a call yesterday evening about a 67' short fleet needing a new home and we all know how I'm always interested in these things so I kept my ear to the phone and listened, the owner stated that was leaving Ca. and needed to sell off this truck he had owned since the late 70's that he bought from the company that he once worked for, I informed him that I had guests coming over and couldn't leave at the moment but I would be over first thing in the morning with cash, so at 5:30 AM while the rooster was still sleeping, me and my son "Rattle can Joe" made the 90 mile trek and purchased this little gem with the typical rust areas (the pic make it look worst than what it is) with a rebuilt newer 350/700r4 along with p/s, p/b with factory tinted glass (how I love "soft ray" ) boy, this thing ran as good as it looked and luckily I had the few things that were missing other that the moldings. Enjoy the pic's.... changes will be coming real soon.

They just find you, you don't even have to find them do you? Nice platform to start from.

That one looks good. Looks like it was probably painted white right when his company bought it. Definitely an OLD paint job.

Re: The early bird catches the.......67' short fleet
Nice score, as usual. Some guys have all the luck. Although she looks a little roughy around the edges, she looks complete and un-molested. Which in my books makes all that more valuable.

Truck is nice. Those stainless hub caps are to kill someone for though. West coast guys have to be closer to heaven when it comes to these trucks.

Steelies and caps get my vote, love the slots but don't think they fit that truck.

Re: The early bird catches the.......67' short fleet
In from the start! I'm with Shawno. I like whats on it already. Seeing as how you'd have to put some work into them I wouldn't mind seeing a pic of the red steelies with the caps popped on them. They'd probably look pretty good too although I'm not much on wide whites.

Re: The early bird catches the.......67' short fleet
throw some bags in that truck clean the inside and rock it excatly like it is even leave the ladder rack
awesome score you got thereits funny how trucks seem too find you every 3-6 months I'm curious thought it looks like it has a larger 68-72 ignition switch bezel?(maybe its just hard too see in the pick)

Re: The early bird catches the.......67' short fleet
It's the picture I zoomed in and it's still way to offset in that space of the dash to be a 68-72

I am a sucker for rally rims but I think the red steelies with caps would look good too.
